With years playing in the NHL for hundreds of thousands of dollars, the vast majority of players are free to ride into the sunset without a care in the world when their careers come to an end. However, to be suddenly unemployed by about age 35 can be a little unsettling - especially for people who've been active their whole lives. The result: a new and sometimes zany, unexpected challenge, which you'll see many of in the most interesting NHL post-career moves that don't involve figure skating.
