New York Rangers defenceman Ulf Samelsson had long earned his reputation for being a pest around the NHL by the mid-1990s. Just ask Boston Bruins power forward Cam Neely, who despised Samuelsson for his questionable knee-on-knee hits. Therefore not too many players felt sorry for Samuelsson after Tie Domi knocked him out with a sucker punch at Maple Leafs Gardens in 1995. While the moment has since been captured in a frame-by-frame set of pictures, the incident was anything but a laughing matter in the eyes of the NHL. Domi received an eight-game trip to the press box for the surprise punch.
