New York Rangers Sergei Zubov (21) congratulates teamate Steve Larmer (right) after scoring the Rangers 4th goal against the Vancouver Canucks during Stanley Cup action in Vancouver, B.C. on June 7, 1994.
Steve Larmer was never a flashy player, but he almost always got the job done. A gritty winger for the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers, Larmer reached the two basic thresholds for Hall of Fame consideration - 1,000 games played and 1,000 points. Finishing his career with just over a point-per-game average, the Peterborough, Ont. native also came through in the clutch, recording 131 playoff points. He was also starred on Canada's 1991 Canada Cup team and was a valuable member of the Rangers' 1994 championship squad.
