Hockey's biggest boneheads

Here's something that's hard to believe: Sean Avery has only been suspended once - and it was for an off-ice incident. Then with the Dallas Stars, Avery's infamous "sloppy seconds" comments, aimed at former Calgary Flames defenceman Dion Phaneuf, made him one of the NHL's all-time jerks. He isn't the cleanest player in league history on the ice either, with most feeling as though it's only a matter of time before Avery crosses the line and gets a suspension or two. He was sure close when he sucker punched Edmonton Oilers defenceman Ladislav Smid earlier this season.
