WINDSOR, England - The lanes for the four finals at the Olympic rowing regatta on Friday were reallocated to shield the top contenders from strong winds at Dorney Lake.

The start times for the finals of the men's quadruple sculls, men's pair, women's double sculls and men's single sculls remain unchanged, rowing governing body FISA said. The B-finals were delayed by 30 minutes, however.

It meant the qualifiers with the best times from the semifinals were placed in lanes 5 and 6.

After still early-morning conditions, a strong breeze swept across the course by the time the lower-ranked finals began at 9:30 a.m. local time (0830 GMT).
