The media spotlight will be focussed firmly on Tiger Woods this week when the disgraced golfer returns to the links to play at the Masters in Augusta, Georgia. It's Woods' first tour appearance since the scandal of his infidelity broke last November. How will Woods, usually so unflappable on the golf course, handle the harsh glare of the media hordes? Will he be able to overcome his personal problems, and the enormous pressure, to be able to shine again on golf's biggest stage?
Or will he wilt under the severe scrutiny, and find his swing just isn't what it used to be? Whatever happens, Woods is hardly the first athlete to overcome adversity. Here's a look at some other sporting stars who found success despite difficult circumstances.
