John Vanbiesbrouck’s verbal gaffe
Longtime NHL goaltender John Vanbiesbrouck won almost every honour possible during his career between the pipes. After retiring, he became head coach, general manager and part-owner of the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, where he ran into trouble for using a racial slur to describe a black player, defenseman Trevor Daley. Daley later rejoined the Greyhounds, and now plays for the Dallas Stars.
