Boxing is short on marquee matchups these days, though the 2009 bout between top welterweights "Sugar" Shane Mosley and Antonio Margarito was a legitimate headliner. The fight would never happen, though, because Margarito was exposed as having loaded gloves in the ring. Mosley's trainer observed Margarito had a pasty white substance in his hand wraps, one that was later likened to a material similar to the plaster used to make casts. The scandal turned boxing on its head, and while Margarito professed his trainer had placed the substance there without his knowing, the Mexican-American was banned from boxing in California for a year.
