Fetching females certainly generate hype that's hard to live up to, especially when they compete in an event that's usually dominated by the guys. Take race car driver Danica Patrick, who's been a bigger hit in racy TV commercials than she has on the track. Kudos to her for becoming the first woman to win an Indy race by finishing first at a 2008 event in Japan. But that's the only chequered flag of her career. Now racing on the NASCAR circuit, Patrick's racing performances are a long way short of the hype she creates.
