The NHL season may be over, but the summer sports action is heating up
The sticks, pucks and skates have been stored away following another hockey season, leaving many Canadians with months of free time on their hands. With no hockey games on the docket for the summer months, the sporting calendar seems to slow down for awhile. But for those fans craving the rush of live action - or just some good television - fear not; there's still plenty to watch this summer. July and August are chalked full of the traditional goodies, plus a couple rare events too.
