Just when it looked like the coaching carousel had come to a halt (and like Chip Kelly was staying put in Eugene), the architect of one of the nation's most explosive offenses was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 16. Kelly was 46-7 in four season with the Ducks, winning the Fiesta Bowl to complete a 12-1 season on Jan. 3.
The Ducks acted quickly, replacing Kelly (left) with Mark Helfrich (right) on Jan. 20, promoting Helfrich from offensive coordinator. Helfrich signed a five-year deal with the Ducks worth a reported $9 million.
