Tiger Woods at even par, 3 back of Bohn at U.S. Open

Tiger Woods is all level on the unleveled Lake Course.

That might be all it takes to stay in contention at the U.S. Open this year.

Woods paired a birdie with a bogey to stay at par through his first 13 holes at The Olympic Club on Thursday, three back of leader Jason Bohn in the opening round. Michael Thompson was 2 under and a pack of others from the morning groups at par.

The morning fog that blanketed the tight, twisting course lifted by the time the group of Woods, Phil Mickelson and Masters champion Bubba Watson made the turn. Mickelson was at 4 over and Watson 7 over.
